Sound Masking resolves interfering ambient noise in Whirlpool office
Nowadays, a lot of workplaces are situated in open spaces, also called bullpens. These are generally divided in small (seating) areas. In these spaces there’s often a stream of sound present, affecting the productivity, stress level and privacy of the employees. Whirlpool recently moved to a new office in Breda (Netherlands). The spaces consists of four open wings, in which numerous barriers have been created. Due to this openness, there’s more ambient noise in the new environment. To rightly correct this increase in ambient noise, Whirlpool, consulting MVIE, chose Cambridge Sound Masking. For this project, Qt 300 controllers of Cambridge are used, in combination with the passive Qt emitters.
