For the sound system installation at a school in Gelderland, (The Netherlands), DO-IT PRO-AV was brought on board. On-site, they discussed the client’s wishes and requirements. After thorough market research, they selected Tau Audio Solutions, which delivered high-quality audio technology perfectly suited to the project’s specific needs.
Project description
Rijn IJssel College is the largest secondary vocational school institution in Gelderland, with over 11,000 students. The school operates across more than 20 modern locations in Arnhem, Wageningen, and surrounding areas. The heart of the institution is located at the ENKA campus on Velperweg in Arnhem.
The restaurant area of the school required a professional sound system. Due to the height of the space and limited options for wiring, it was crucial to implement a user-friendly system suitable for both background music and presentations. The biggest challenge was developing a flexible solution that would not require modifications to the existing infrastructure.
Solution and products
Initially, the plan was to mount the speakers on an existing power rail. However, after consultation, it became clear that the rail was unsuitable. DO-IT PRO-AV collaborated with Rijn IJssel’s installer to adapt the ceiling’s power points, enabling the speaker installation.
Due to the limitations in cable routing and the room’s height, wireless speakers were chosen. After consultation with DO-IT PRO-AV, the decision was made to use Spottune’s wireless system, known for its exceptional sound quality without requiring cabling. Ultimately, seven white Spottune wireless speakers with Omni Covers and a black subwoofer were installed.
For music playback, a Tau MP101 media player was added, while a wireless handheld microphone ensured optimal voice amplification.
Result
The result is a sound system perfectly meeting Rijn IJssel College’s needs and requirements. Thanks to Spottune’s innovative wireless technology, the Tau MP101 media player, and the wireless microphone, the restaurant is now equipped with a system that is both user-friendly and visually appealing.
The combination of superior sound quality and flexibility allows the space to be utilized effectively without compromising the existing infrastructure. Whether for ambient background music or clear voice projection during presentations, the system offers a reliable and future-proof solution.
