Voetbal Geluid is a specialist in high-quality sound systems for sports clubs, focusing on user-friendly solutions that create a dynamic atmosphere on sports fields. They provide, among other things, music and public address systems, specifically tailored to the needs of sports clubs and often with intuitive controls so that volunteers can easily operate them. For the VIOS Sports Complex in Warmenhuizen, Voetbal Geluid recently installed a system with high-quality equipment supplied by Tau Audio Solutions. When they approached us for this project, we knew it was a great opportunity to showcase our expertise.
Description of the project
The request came from VIOS president Jaap: could a sound system be installed that was not only powerful and clear but also stayed within a tight budget? Of course, there were challenges, such as the large distances on the sports complex and the desire to avoid speaker cables being run to the light poles. But the requirement was clear: a sound system that could play warming-up music across the field as well as provide clear announcements for the fans in the stands.
Solution and products: clear communication on the fields
Together with Voetbal Geluid, we chose our high-quality, robust equipment. For the field, we opted for our closed WORK PRO 12-inch Arena outdoor speakers. These speakers are specifically designed to deliver powerful, clear, and full sound, even in the most challenging outdoor conditions. With a power of 600 watts and a low-impedance configuration, they create an energetic atmosphere during the warm-up and effortlessly fill the entire sports complex with sound.
The stands also received attention. Here, we supplied our 8-inch IP speakers from the WORK PRO Neo series, perfect for a 100-volt installation. Thanks to a thoughtful design, where low and high frequencies are separated, the music sounds clear and immersive. Whether it’s a goal or an uplifting tune, the audience enjoys an impressive sound experience.
Easy control
To make everything simple, the system was equipped with a control panel in a wall enclosure, allowing both the sound and the scoreboard to be controlled. This makes it easy to switch the sound to the canteen or sports hall during matches, all with the press of a button.
The result speaks for itself!
The first home game with the new sound system was a huge success: on November 10, 2024, VIOS won 3-2 against ZSGOWMS, an exciting match where the new system clearly made an impression. Whether it was due to the powerful music during the warm-up or the immersive atmosphere in the stands – one thing is certain: VIOS is already 1-0 up even before the ball rolls!
