Tau celebrates its 25th anniversary!
Tau Audio Solutions exists 25 years! A special milestone. We are very proud of the fact that we have been providing our customers with the best audio and communication systems for 25 years. We would like to thank all our customers for their trust in us. Tau’s 25th anniversary, we are proud of that. We realize all too well that we owe this to our great suppliers, distributors, the team of enthusiastic colleagues and our loyal customers! A gorgeous success of which we are not only very proud of but also extremely grateful. Thanks to all our customers for putting their trust and confidence in our company over the past 25 years. Without our loyal customers, it would not have been possible to grow into the company we are today.
In March 1997 Tau Audio Solutions bv was officially registered with the Chamber of Commerce. Did you know that Tau Audio Solutions bv first used TAU A.V.L.P. (Audio. Video. Light. Stage) was called? Started in 1997 in Veenwouden. Before Tau finally established itself on Grondzijl 8a in Groningen, the company was first established in Leeuwarden, Noordhorn and then on Skagerrak in Groningen.
25 years ago, Tau started selling induction loop systems, among other things. Stage parts were also part of the product range at the time. Tau provided a stage to the Frisian band De Kast at the time. Stage parts are no longer part of the product range. The range was subsequently expanded to the current product portfolio of audio and communication systems. Tau Audio Solutions BV has been a successful distributor of audio and communication systems and delivers various products such as:

- Commercial sound and professional audio systems

Since its foundation in 1997, Tau Audio Solutions has been a wholesaler and supplier of audio and communication systems for every organization in the professional industry. At Tau we strive to make the most beautiful and newest possibilities in the field of audio available for the professional market in the Benelux. We strive to serve them optimally. We do this by providing them with support in the areas of products, technologies and services that our partners need to be successful. To do this, we work closely with our suppliers and keep a close eye on innovations in the market. By listening carefully to our partners, and with our extensive portfolio, we know how to set up almost any project for the right price. This results in a proven partnership with diverse references for Audio Visual installers, authorized dealers and electrical installers. The customer is central to us. Without our loyal customers, it would not have been possible for us to grow into the company we are today.
Product range
In those 25 years, the range and products have changed, but also some brands have come and gone. A lot has changed over time, and yet not. For example, induction loop systems are still part of the product range. Tau Audio Solutions BV has more than 20 years of experience with the installation of induction/hearing loop systems. Our technicians can therefore rightfully be called experts in this field. Of course, we also see innovations, such as amplifiers with LAN connections for, among other things, sending e-mail notifications.
New technology
Time clearly does not standstill. Over the past years, various products and technologies have been added. Think, for example, of the Dante speakers from SoundTube and Pan Acoustics. Or the BlueLine Audio over IP solutions from WORK PRO. And don’t forget Bodet’s unique solutions in the field of time signalling. With options for Audio over IP, wireless or through 100V, Bodet offers the solution for every building. We have a large part of all the products of our portfolio in stock as a standard. So we can provide quickly in projects.
Our services
We have also seen that our customers are extremely busy. A positive development and it makes our help has only become more important. Many customers know that we specialize in performing STI measurements and Pre-test measurements and can commission the central equipment supplied by us at the customers’ location. We can also assemble the products ordered from us in our 19-inch racks. Our help starts with the quotation process. With requests, we make a design, a set-up of the solutions without obligation, and we provide the customer with all necessary product information. At Tau Audio Solutions, we believe in working with our partners, and we are happy to help from A to Z to ensure that projects are successfully implemented.
The team
As a specialist wholesaler in the field of audio and related products, our partners must be able to rely on us. This means extensive technical knowledge, experienced employees, with personal attention for the customer. We are the sparring partner for (complex) audio issues. Our technicians can perform simulations and also provide product demonstrations on-site or in-house. In this way, together with our partners, we can provide the end customer with the most suitable solutions.
Showroom and demo capabilities
At our location in Groningen we have an extensive showroom in which different products of various brands can be experienced. Partners are welcome to gain inspiration and see the products themselves. Or together with their customer who still has some doubts about the right choice of a loudspeaker, or when they want to experience the time signally system themself. If desired, one of our audio experts together. It is also possible we are providing a product demonstration on-site, at the customers’ location. Seeing, hearing and experiencing products, that’s what it’s all about in the end.
Training sessions
In addition to supplying products, we offer various technical and sales training courses for professionals. Our training courses are often provided in our showroom, and can also be provided at a (customer) location. Providing training is important, because new products, techniques and possibilities are constantly being added. The profession continues to develop. At Tau Audio Solutions we follow it closely to share this knowledge with our customers.
Future
We look forward to the future with great pleasure. We believe that the cooperation with our partners can also make us a success in the next 25 years. This means continuing to invest in our knowledge and expertise so that we can honestly continue to provide our partners with the best advice. We also keep a close eye on new innovative developments. Not every idea in the market will immediately lead to success, and it is up to us to discover at an early stage what is a valuable addition for our partners. We would like to keep everyone informed via our website and newsletter. Not only on a commercial level but also on a technical level. Our technicians regularly test a product to the smallest detail. This produces critical reviews in which the product is fully vetted. Interesting information because it is immediately clear what the product is best suited for.
